In 2020, the deadly and destructive tropical cyclone that became known as Hurricane Laura tied the 1856 Last Island hurricane and 2021’s Hurricane Ida as the strongest hurricane on record to make landfall in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
Among the properties destroyed by Laura was a three-level office building in the heart of Lake Charles – at 825 Ryan Street, that was owned by Redd Properties.
Comprised of a 1-acre+ property, Redd Properties secured b1Bank as a future tenant and subsequently built the bank a single-story, build-to-suit lease. The branch of nearly 8,500 square feet is on approximately 28,300 square feet of land. The bank serves residents and businesses throughout the region, offering personal and commercial loans, private client and wealth solutions services.
The rear of the bank’s property, which faces Bilbo Street, is about half-an-acre and is available for sale at $25-per-square-foot, or $1,050,000. Redd Properties has proposed to build a 3,500-square-foot commercial building for the eventual buyer.
This section of Lake Charles offers some of the best entertainment venues in the city, including Luna Bar & Grill, Panorama Music Hall, and other eating and drinking establishments.
